Start with the address a person would recognise
Enter the house or building number, street and postcode rather than only a business name or neighbourhood. Dunfermline, Duloch and nearby villages contain many separate entrances and similarly described developments. If another person is booking for you, check that they have the collection address rather than the destination or an old saved location.
Confirm what the search result represents
A result can refer to a street, a wider area, a building or an individual property. Read the complete result and inspect the pin before accepting it. A postcode can narrow a search without proving which door you will use. If the exact property is not found, use the map planner to confirm the pickup position and contact the team about anything still uncertain.
Put the pin at an accessible entrance
Choose a place the vehicle can reasonably reach rather than the centre of a large building or a path behind it. Flats, hotels, workplaces and larger visitor sites can have different pedestrian and vehicle entrances. A map pin does not override access restrictions or guarantee a safe stopping point. Where access is unclear, agree the location with the team before travelling.
Give short, useful collection instructions
A clear example is ‘main reception entrance, two passengers with luggage’, followed by the full address. Tell the team privately about a gate, reception check-in or other access arrangement that affects the pickup. Avoid placing private entry codes or personal travel details in public reviews. Share only the information needed to arrange the journey.
Use current location carefully
The location button asks your device for a position. Indoors, between buildings or with location permissions limited, that position may not identify the right entrance. Check the pin and address yourself. If permission is refused, you can still search for the address or choose on the map. Sending a request is a separate step from allowing location access.
Check the destination with the same care
Confirm the final drop-off and every additional stop, including their order. A correct pickup cannot compensate for the wrong destination. Recalculate after changing the itinerary and read the estimate breakdown. Existing bookings should be amended with the team using the booking reference, with availability and any revised fare reconfirmed.
Before you travel.
What if my house number does not appear in search?
Do not select a different house just to complete the form. Check the postcode, choose an appropriate map position and give the correct written address to the team for confirmation.
Does Locate me guarantee the exact front door?
No. Device location accuracy varies. Check the address and accessible entrance before sending your request, and tell the team if the collection point needs clarification.
