LOCAL PEOPLE. PROPER JOURNEYS.

Planning a group journey starts with the people and everything they are bringing. A family heading to the airport, friends leaving an event and colleagues sharing a work trip can need quite different arrangements even when the passenger count is the same. Ash Cabs lets you request four, six or eight seats, with the final vehicle and availability confirmed by the team.

Seats are only part of the decision

Count every passenger, then describe the luggage separately. Include larger suitcases, folding pushchairs, sports bags or other bulky items rather than assuming they will fit. A vehicle's seat count does not establish how much luggage it can carry with every seat occupied.

  • Provide the number of adults and children travelling.
  • List the number and approximate size of bags.
  • Discuss any child-seat or assistance requirements before confirmation.
  • Choose a lead passenger who can be contacted on the day.

For an event, provide the venue and an agreed collection point, not just the event name. Where the finish time may change, explain that in advance so the team can discuss an appropriate arrangement. Do not assume a vehicle will wait through the event.

Arrange a group price

When a road route is available, the planner can show an indicative fare range. The supplied tariff formula is the six-seat base. The current vehicle supplement and additional-stop allowances are shown below and in the planner, including which intermediate stops qualify. This gives you a travel estimate for the complete itinerary. Staff confirm the final arrangement and price. Give the complete itinerary rather than assuming a larger vehicle has the four-seat rate. Airport parking and waiting are separate. If routing is unavailable, request a staff quote. A reference number does not guarantee vehicle availability.

PRACTICAL JOURNEY QUESTIONS

Before you travel.

One meeting place or several collections?

A shared meeting point can make the plan easier to understand. If the group needs separate pickups, add each address in order and give realistic time for people to join the vehicle. For the journey home, decide whether everyone leaves together and whether several drop-offs are needed.

How much notice does each vehicle need?

4-seater — at least 2 hours ahead; 6-seater — at least 2 hours ahead; 8-seater — at least 4 hours ahead. Every request is subject to availability and confirmation by our team.

Is a deposit taken online?

No initial deposit is required with the current pay-at-pickup option. Arrange payment at the start of the ride with the team. Sending a request does not confirm a vehicle. The 8-seater has no initial deposit.
