Choose your pickup, destination and vehicle. Review the estimate before sending your request.
Compare the same route
Use the same pickup address, destination, date and time for each quote. “Dunfermline to the airport” is too broad if one estimate starts in the centre and another includes several home collections. A low headline amount is not a useful comparison until the itinerary is the same.
Include the vehicle and luggage
A regular car and a larger group vehicle may have different pricing and availability. Give the real passenger count and baggage list. Ask what arrangement is being quoted rather than assuming that the cheapest option can carry the whole party and every case.
Read the extra-charge lines
Check airport pickup or drop-off charges, additional stops and waiting arrangements. Ask whether the quoted total covers the planned return or only one direction. A return request may have different addresses or access costs, so it should be assessed as its own leg.
Prefer a clear accepted total
Use the fare planner for an indicative route, then have staff confirm the arrangement. Ash Cabs does not need to claim the cheapest price for every journey to provide a clear quotation. Keep the accepted amount and ask for a revision if your plans change.

Is a calculator estimate a guaranteed fixed fare?
No. It is an indicative planning figure. Availability and the accepted total are confirmed by the team for your actual itinerary.
