Start with equipment dimensions
Golf clubs, protective travel cases and trolleys can use more space than weekend luggage. List each bag and whether it is in a rigid flight case. Measure folded trolleys and mention shoes or additional holdalls. Tell the team the complete passenger count; do not assume a vehicle can carry a full group plus every item of sports equipment.
Choose the actual course entrance
Use the club name, postcode and visitor arrival point. A map result for a course can lead to a staff road or the wrong side of a large site. If your round is near St Andrews or another destination outside Dunfermline, provide the specific club rather than the town alone. Confirm that the itinerary can be accepted.
Allow time to unload before the tee time
The tee time is not the ideal arrival time. Leave room to unload, check in and reach the first tee, following the club’s own advice. Ask the team about the pickup time from your address. Weather, route conditions and intermediate collections can change the travel plan; a map estimate does not include the club’s check-in process.
Agree how the return will work
A round can finish later than expected. Decide whether to request a fixed return or contact the team when finished, and understand that an on-demand collection cannot be assumed. Keep golf bags dry and contained for loading. The group luggage guide explains the details staff need to assess space.

Is there a guaranteed golf-bag allowance?
No published allowance should replace a check of your actual equipment. Send dimensions and quantities before the team confirms a suitable vehicle.
