You can plan a taxi with Ash Cabs in your phone's browser. Open the online booking map, choose the journey and review an estimated fare before sending your request. The same planner works on a tablet or computer. You do not need to download an app to begin.

Choose a pickup you can recognise

Search with the house number, street, town and postcode where available. Select a result, inspect the marked position and confirm the pickup. If the entrance is elsewhere, choose the location on the full-screen map and place the pin where the vehicle can safely reach you.

At a hotel, station or block of flats, the building centre may not be the collection entrance. Check the full address and add a useful instruction. Free map data may identify a street or postcode rather than every individual property, so the marker is worth checking.

Add the destination and every stop

Search for the final drop-off or select it on the map. Use Add stop near the journey fields for another household pickup, an intermediate drop-off or a planned wait. Keep the stops in the order you want to travel. Add any time needed at a stop before reviewing the total.

See the estimate before requesting

Choose your collection date, Scotland time and vehicle category. Once the required route details are confirmed, the planner calculates the road journey and displays the distance and estimated fare. Changes to locations, vehicle or planned waiting can change that estimate.

Read the breakdown, including the applicable configured airport charge when an airport is matched. Then continue to the passenger details. An estimate is a planning figure; sending the request does not itself reserve a vehicle or dispatch a driver.

Choose enough space and advance notice

The 4-seater, 6-seater and 8-seater categories refer to passengers, excluding the driver. Bags and equipment also need space. Tell the team about large cases, a folded pushchair or golf clubs.

Current online notice is at least 2 hours for 4 and 6-seaters and 4 hours for an 8-seater request. Need a taxi sooner? Use the Call button to enquire about availability.

Keep the confirmation together

Provide a reachable passenger phone number and check the details in the acknowledgement. Every booking is subject to availability and team confirmation. Keep the reference, accepted pickup and fare together. If plans change, contact the team with that reference so the revised arrangement can be agreed.

Try the fare calculator first, or read about messaging Ash Cabs if you prefer to send a written enquiry.

Request your journey or check a route estimate. Staff confirm the vehicle, timing and agreed fare.
